About Geoff Fay
My path to Chimento & Webb began in 2007, while an undergraduate at Northeastern University. It was during that year when I embarked upon a legal internship at a midsize Boston litigation firm, giving me my first bit of professional experience. After graduating and spending several years working full time as a litigation paralegal at several Boston firms, I met and began working with George, who introduced me to ERISA.
Following the opening of C&W in 2014, I began moonlighting as a full time law student while also working as the firm’s law clerk and office manager. In 2018, after several arduous years focused on employee benefits by day and esoteric case law by night, I succeeded in both graduating near the top of my class and passing the bar examination on my first attempt.
As an associate, my work focuses primarily on issues pertaining to tax-qualified retirement plans (e.g., defined benefit, 401(k), etc.) as well as the tax consequences of employer-provided benefits (e.g., tuition assistance, transportation reimbursement, etc.).
George and Rob are incredible mentors, and better people. Their work ethic and constant dedication to the Client have been impressed upon me since the early days of our relationship. I am thrilled at having the privilege to develop my knowledge of this hyper-specialized practice area alongside such accomplished partners. The future is exciting at our firm!
I earned my law degree from New England Law Boston. Prior to that, I attended Northeastern University. I live in a quiet Boston neighborhood with my wife, whom I met in law school. We are voracious readers, nature enthusiasts, and avid sports fans.
