January 24, 2017 – Jessica Stanford and George Chimento conducted a webinar sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of 766 Approved Private Schools (“maaps”) for its member schools. The topics were Fiduciary Obligations and Correction of Common Mistakes in administering 403(b) and 401(k) plans.
Chimento & Webb, P.C. is honored to be associated with maaps, which represents 85 member schools serving approximately 7000 children with special needs in the US and other countries. Each school is approved by the Massachusetts Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education under special education law, Chapter 766.
April 19, 2016 – Jessica Stanford has joined the Firm as a valued associate. She comes to us with experience in government (Massachusetts Department of Revenue), and large firm private practice. Jessica was valedictorian of her law school class, and interned as a law clerk with the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Jessica will give us much needed assistance with our expanding client base of some of the region’s best employers. We are thrilled to have her with us.
October 16, 2015 – George Chimento met with members of the Healthcare Human Resources Association of New Hampshire (HHRANH) for a roundtable discussion on employee benefit plans. This is a great forum for HR and benefit managers of New Hampshire hospitals. Discussion topics included the ACA (of course) new pension and 403(b) developments, and various other ERISA issues.
March 17, 2015 – George Chimento to present on April 10, 2015 at the 14th Annual Meeting of Labor and Employment Lawyers of the N.H. Bar Association. Topic will be New Developments under the Affordable Care Act.
March 15, 2015 – Rob Webb to speak on March 28, 2015 at Annual Conference of the Black Law Students Association at the Boston University School of Law. Topic will be effective recruiting practices for attorneys of color.
March 1, 2015 – Benefit Plans for which Chimento & Webb, P.C. provides services now estimated to cover almost 50,000 participants. Chimento & Webb, P.C. client base has grown since the Firm’s creation in 2014 to include publicly-traded, privately-owned and tax-exempt employers in fields of banking, healthcare, hi-tech specialty products, education, engineering, and multiemployer plan trustees.
January 14, 2015 – George Chimento and Rob Webb named again as “Leaders in their Field” by Chambers USA, the UK-based ranking firm which is used by general counsel here and overseas. Ratings are based on an intensive interview process with institutional clients.
January 1, 2015 – Build-out completed for the Firm’s permanent offices at 333 Elm Street, Dedham, MA.
August 9, 2014 – Chimento & Webb, P.C., is formed and opens for business. George Chimento and Rob Webb leave their partnerships in downtown Boston firms to form C&W, which will focus on ERISA, employee benefits, and executive compensation.
